Build Jersey LLC ("Build Jersey", "we", "us") is a general contracting business operating in New Jersey. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly when you contact us about a project or hire us for work:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- The property address and details about the work you are planning
- Documents you send us, such as plans, surveys, photographs or permits
- Records related to your project, including proposals, invoices and payments
How we use it
We use your information only to do business with you:
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare an estimate
- To schedule, coordinate and carry out the work
- To send you project updates, appointment confirmations, invoices and payment reminders
- To keep the records a licensed contractor is required to keep
Text messages and phone numbers
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we may text you about your project — appointment confirmations, schedule changes, job updates and invoice reminders. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop these messages at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance.
We do not sell, rent or share your phone number or text-messaging consent with any third party for marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for text messaging are used only by Build Jersey LLC to communicate with you about your own project.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We share it only where it is necessary to do the work or required by law:
- Subcontractors and suppliers working on your project, limited to what they need (for example, the site address and the scope of their portion of the work)
- Service providers that help us run the business, such as our accounting, messaging and payment providers, who are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us
- Municipal building departments and inspectors, where a permit or inspection requires it
- Where we are required to by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim
How long we keep it
We keep project records for as long as we need them to service the work, honor any warranty, and meet the record-keeping, tax and insurance obligations that apply to a licensed contractor in New Jersey. After that, we delete or securely dispose of them.
How we protect it
We limit access to your information to the people who need it to do their job, use reputable service providers, and take reasonable steps to keep your information secure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it
- You can ask us to delete information we are not required to keep
- You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP
- You can ask us to stop emailing you by replying to any message and telling us

Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
